I am the Interior Designer for this home. The bookcase/cabinets are stained black with a formula created for us by our painter. All of the walls
light ceiling you are creating formal and not very quiet feel :) I simply would paint ceiling darker color( for example gray tone of the pillows) it will soften the contrast, create quiet coziness and make room visually taller :) Keep up the good work ! :)
Interior Designer for this home. The sofa is from Baker through interior designers. It is actually a sofa bed covered in Christopher Hyland black mohair fabric.
The ceiling panels are attached by construction adhesive. Finish nails were used to tack them into place temporarily until the adhesive set.

I designed this 2nd floor art studio for my next-door neighbor, Sona, who does fired glass art, jewelry, fabric projects and other crafts. The vaulted ceiling makes the space seem larger, helps to keep the room cooler, and lets in abundant daylight via the high gable-end windows (one end faces north
