“costs. Concrete is porous, so protecting it with sealant is critical. The less foot traffic, the less often it'll need to be resealed. A busy gallery will need to reseal often, while a home studio will rarely have to. It is susceptible to cracking too, and things like heavy machinery might increase this”

If any color was added to this mix I am guessing it was a small amount of Carbon Black - it comes in a powder and is added to the mix as it is being made. Fu-Tung Cheng's concrete book "Concrete at Home" is a great resource --- he suggests the use of 1/2 lb. of Carbon Black”
“from a concrete batching plant and typically you have to supply this). This darkens the concrete some. I believe that this floor was polished and well sealed. The client made these decisions. I would check out the book - it will give you alot of information and ideas too.
