Hello duplicate living space! Great idea for shelving and storage on both sides of window. Would like some closed doors on uppers, but LOVE that spaces flanking windows are different sizes. So are ours and I have always knocked the notion of large scale built ins because of
cabinetry style though I do feel that the upper storage portion should have doors. I think the the freestanding desk should have more contrast to the built-ins (darker, lighter, or glassier).

Upper West Side Combo
the task of converting the existing arrangement into a large open three bedroom residence. The previous configuration of bedrooms along the Southern window wall resulted in very little sunlight reaching the public spaces. Breaking the norm of the traditional building layout, the bedrooms were moved to
to the West wall of the combined unit, while the existing internally held Living Room and Kitchen were moved towards the large South facing windows, resulting in a flood of natural sunlight. Wide-plank grey-washed walnut flooring was applied throughout the apartment to maximize light infiltration. A
designed with the supplementary space which features walnut flooring wrapping up the walls and ceiling. Two large sliding Starphire acid-etched glass doors close the space off to create privacy when screening a movie. High gloss white lacquer millwork built throughout the apartment allows for ample storage

The conference table is made out of beams from the ceiling of the building and the old 2-by-4 wall studs from the demolition. They fitted old antique doors with glass tops for the office desks and added vintage 1950s orange chairs for guests.
