who doesn't like a Lincoln in the kitchen?
love, the car island
Who cares if everyone thinks you're nuts? Now I'm not advocating driving a car though your kitchen island, but feel free to think outside the box, stop fretting over resale values and do that outlandish thing you've always wanted to do.

Beams are used throughout the home including the industrial kitchen.
top of the island? Furthermore, do any of you have photos of kitchens with super large islands, especially square ones? Thank you!
love these bar stools, do you know where I can get them and how high they go. Love the whole kitchen
what is the size of this kitchen? How many feet between island and counters?
system in my kitchen, but something like this would work. It looks great leaning against the wall and can be used when needed.
Who makes the pendant lights over the island?
I would love to know what color was used on the perimeter cabinets and island. Thanks.
According to Atlanta Homes Magazine, Betty Burgess used the end caps off of old propane tanks to create the custom lighting over the kitchen island.

How tall is the island and what is the depth of the overhang? Thanks!
what is the paint color on the island?
do you have 1950's retro kitchens
to match the Exhaust Hood in Kitchen.
the island is 36.5"H and overhang is 12
Orange countertop? Not certain what you mean... The island's red cabinetry is painted with a faux treatment to appear vintage/ distressed; it has a gray zinc counter.
The island countertop is Zinc. The main countertops are honed, volcanic stone slabs (light gray) - similar to a Basalt stone, same material as the tile flooring
Could you please share what materials (wood and countertop) the island is made of? Is it painted or stained?

Classic Coastal Colonial Renovation - the Anti McMansion
friends in. The bright white cabinets and the cool grey island are complemented by the sea of white marble countertops. The extra deep stainless sink and commercial-style faucet lend an industrial feel to the kitchen, but the built-in banquette and custom window create a cozy, family-friendly feel
This bright, white, classic “Nantucket” style kitchen was part of the home's 1200 square foot expansion. Built around the needs of a chef and their family, this is a cook’s kitchen built for entertaining. The workspace and flow makes the kitchen as much of a joy to work in as it is to relax with friends
Love the size of the island!
What are the dimensions of the island and distance between pendant lights? Thanks!

openness, great job! The light would look great in my more contemporary kitchen. Do share!
Who made the wonderful wood/stainless island?
love the wood color and texture on the island and of course the brick
Restaurant kitchen - rough back wall.
I like a brick back splash for the kitchen
Large wooden kitchen. Glass table. Brick exposed walls
like it used to when it was used in heavy machinery applications." Get Back Inc. also restored the vintage Toledo industrial chairs you see at the kitchen island.

Love the wood on the island--is that reclaimed wood and if so, where did you get it?
Love the look of this kitchen. What is the width of the countertops, looks thicker than the standard. Thanks!
What kitchen cabinet color goes with black appliances?
Hi Jordan, really nice kitchen! I'm in love!! Trying to have my lower cabinets stained in a similar way. Can you tell me your color numbers so that I can have my local Sherwin-Williams
tinted laquer and then a clear laquer. The boards on the back of the island and the floating shelves above the sink were taken directly from a barn built in the 1930's.
just to add, I won't be able to add an island in my kitchen, but I love the cabinet doors/drawers!
Hi Jordan. You mentioned you've used caesarstone on several projects. I'm debating between marble and caesarstone for my kitchen. I have creamy cabinets and found a gorgeous Calcutta Bella and am also looking at London Grey or misty carerra caesarstone. Everyone has discouraged

Where can I purchase this island?
The Viking has island trim at the back, but it doesn't pop up like a down-draft vent. There's a hood above in the other photos: http://www.houzz.com/projects/39888/Spring-Kitchen
Cork in the kitchen? Can I do that? Doesn't it absorb liquids? Amazing I would use cork everywhere but was scared of pouris surface
multi-purpose island - photo 2 of 2
same island when "closed." Counters are Richlite 3/4". Floors cork planks with clear polyurethane. Island dimensions approx 4'x9'. Stove 30".
Tidy functional island when everything is closed

kept open to make accessing everyday items easy. The kitchen island is open to the dining room, but Gainer didn't want his guests to see a kitchen mess while eating, so he wired the kitchen lights and dining lights separately. At night, when the kitchen lights are off, the space feels completely separate
