What's the treatment on the brick walls? They look great!
low to find a technique to create this aged brick look onto my dated brick fireplace (deep red brick with black mortar yuck) I have real walnut on the wall behind it so I want it to appear lighter in these tones, can you tell me how? Also does it help to add some troweling of textured paint or concrete
Thanks - it was a process! After we took the sheetrock off of the brick walls, we found that the window wall had bricks with an amazing aged patina, but the wall on the right in this photo was so disguesting that we needed to completely sand it down and start over. So
of the brick walls, we sanded the brick down to the original bright red color. Then I created a paint mixture of Benjamin Moore Super White, Farrow and Ball Railings (a black paint) and some water. My staff and I applied it by hand with rags, and just kept working it until the brick walls were the color

I LOVE this reclaimed wood feature wall. The red light fixture looks amazing coupled with the wood! Just curious if you can tell me how you attached the wood? Was it nailed to the wall, or glued? Thanks!
Just wondering I ripped down an old grain bin we had and am putting the boards on a wall downstairs. How did you clean it up and did you stain it with a clear coat or anything I want to keep

Originally this open living space had low ceilings and separate rooms for the kitchen, living room and dining room. Like many older bungalows, the living room faced the street. Petersen flipped the layout; now the living and dining rooms face the backyard and the kitchen faces the street.

wondering if the framed doorway to the bedroom is beams with the wall material finished up against the beam or is it trimmed in with flat boards? I can't tell if the wall and beams are flush or are the beams just a bit proud of the walls? Thanks very much!
