type of flooring can go over Radiant Heat. As "WarmlyYours" stated, a high r-value does slow down heat transfer, but we work with everything from hardwood and tile to thick wool carpets (with high r-values) quite regularly, and without issue. Each hydronic (or electric) radiant system has its limitations
flooring. White Oak would be ideal. If you want to go with solid wood then Rift & Quartered White Oak is your best option. Follow instructions closely on heating up your floors when solid wood is installed.

Fire sprinkler pipe with electrical wiring for lighting?
It appears from this photo that the fire sprinkler and electrical wiring are in the same pipe or conduit. Is this correct?
if they had done with radiant heat/cool and a fan or two, they could probably do away with the duct work which would have been cleaner.
