much for your reply. Doing it ourselves is pretty much out of the question if we need to have the right machinery and tools for it. We don't really have the space for them, or don't really have a reason to have them. Thanks again! Great kitchen! If I had that space - I would love to do something similar

depends on your kitchen layout. If you have space for a lot of cabinetry in the kitchen, island storage may not be a priority.
