Rift-cut oak shows the least amount of a "cathedral" pattern in the wood grain; very linear. We like to mix in quarter-sawn sometimes to get

What is the stain color of the floor? Is it white oak under the stain?
Kenwood Oak Kalispell. I just installed this flooring in my house. I love it!
I would start with White Oak flooring and go from there. If you want
a matte finish do an oiled finish. Look at these sample shots of a white oak with charcoal oiled finish. Very little shine and the wood still shows through
