has a secret passage hidden behind what looks like built in cabinetry. The youngest daughter wanted to “swing”, so we outfitted her with a hanging bed set in front of a custom mural created by a Spanish artist. The middle daughter is an elite gymnast, so we added monkey bars so she can cruise her room
I love the wallpaper behind the bed. Can you tell me who makes it and how to get it? I have a teen girl who would love it.
Looks like fun, how is the bed prevented from hitting into the wall?
Where did you get the bed?
This bed was featured in a Houzz article. For more information, please see "Get in the swing of things with a hanging bed"
The bed is chained to the floor in the middle of the bed, preventing it from swinging more than 6"-8" in any direction. It's out 18" from the wall so there's plenty of clearance

Coastal Home went more nautical with these two extra-long single beds. To cut down on weight, Taterus paired with a local millworker to create the base platforms from ¾-inch plywood; a 3½-inch edge trim was then added around the base of the bed to create the illusion that it was a solid piece of teak. Where did you find the beds?
The owner purched them so I can't be certain of their origin. There is a very similar bed at Pottery Barn Kids called the Thomas Twin Bed. That is either it or something very close to it.
way the beds are situated for a story and a half style upstairs.
love the way these bed back up to each other! great idea for the cabin!
maybe put two twin beds, back-to-back with a headboard in between
Beds are usually to be lined up like soldiers against the longest bedroom wall. But what happens when twin beds won't fit lengthwise in the space? Try placing them headboard to headboard for a cozy, perfectly functional arrangement.
how your children relate to each other. If they are pretty independent, like my sons were, putting the beds back to back like this creates a sense of separation. Place their nightstands and desks at opposite ends of the room, and it will be as close to having separate rooms as they can get.
