Kids are often our most difficult clients to please! Why, you ask? Because we are up against unbridled creativity. So, we are forced to regress. Think like a child - like anything is possible if you can dream it. Dressers that open to reveal secret passage ways, hidden play-lofts in ceilings, beds
tucked into alcoves, chalkboard hallways and headboards that double as toy chests. These are a few of our favorite things. Don't we wish all our clients let us think like kids!
The Roman Shades were made custom for the client using linen fabrics. Hope that helps!
The wall shelves were built custom for the client and painted on the inside with Benjamin Moore paint colors: Tidal Wave, Rosemary Green, Banana Yellow

I believe it was a gift from the client's mother to the client, so unfortunately, it's hard to track down. It's of Ocean Beach near S.F. It reminds me of Richard Misrach's work.

But when I saw them all on one page, I loved the idea of doing all four colors, especially because they referenced the colors of the bedding I wanted to use. The client loved it too,
chance discovery during the planning stages. Although she and her client were debating light and dark blue stripes versus light and dark green ones, she grouped the four color swatches together and fell for the effect.
