Neither were painted over. The aluminum channel was purchased from a metal supply company. The galvanized strip was purchased from a metal fabricator.
I got the galvanized steel strip from a local metal fabricator.
The product is a thermoplastic laminate with a metallic-like finish by Advanced Technology Inc.
Only one wall is red - Dunn Edwards DEA-150 Scarlet Past (except for behind the perforated metal wainscot). The black is Benjamin Moore's Aura 2910-10 Midnight Dream and the upper wall and ceiling is DE6246 Moonlight.
For this room, a simple, contemporary baseboard was painted with silver, metallic paint.

Paint color, how u can use different trim colors. For instance bottom base board is ordinary trim painted metallic silver! & top metal boarder can be used to magnet things on!

Sometimes it’s just easier to surrender to the toys. I know many families that have made peace with the idea of giving up one room to keep toys contained versus having them all over the house. A fun zone/toy room can easily be reclaimed for another use when the children are grown.
