15. Storage for children’s items doesn’t need to be overly complicated. Big plastic baskets are easy to pull out to stash

A built-in bench along the window is great for parents to hang out and observe, or read, or cuddle. We added storage underneath for bigger toys and covered the cushion in a soft outdoor fabric for easy clean up.
Where did you find those bins? They are amazing!

toy bins on casters - smart and cheap to make!!
Slide out wheeled drawers would be quite functional.

And what of those storage bins?
I love the industrial style bins. I am afraid to ask, for they are not cheap, but are they Restoration Hardware?
Do you homeschool your children? I love that you have all there supplies out in the open and in the kitchen.. I am going to be homeschooling and I love the idea of what you have done
Hi. They are not Restoration Hardware. Just vintage bins I got at an auction. All 6 for $10 total. The liners were made out of a canvas drop cloth.

for arts and craft supplies. The dining room is often a good choice, because the table provides a nice, big work surface to spread out on, and materials can be kept in bins tucked away in a sideboard or cabinet.

Anyone know where to find those bins/baskets with labels?
Seriously? Why would you waste the designer's time?
to be coordinated with the heat source type (hot air, piped steam, water, electric?) to maintain minimum clearances. Best to not have to figure this out and price it while construction is under way.

1. Provide space for spreading out. It's tempting to try to control messes by limiting play space to certain corners of the house. But giving children the freedom and flexibility to spread out and play with abandon can be liberating for them. Use cubbies, storage bins and other organizers to keep the
things to get dirty or ruined.Magnetic whiteboards and chalkboards give kids an easy-to-clean art space that's fun and eco-friendly. There's no paper waste here! Making it magnetic turns it into an instant bulletin board for displaying other art.

If you want to keep certain keepsakes out of reach but still on display, consider removing the doors from the closet and placing the items up on shelves.

latch. ***extra door covers that are magnetic should be sleeves so you can slide in and out whatever you want. You can make a color wall all one color or make a rainbow or whatever. This way there is less waste when creating the extra covers. No need for extra doors, no need for extra magnets.....just
items in the cubbies.... Also the dividers can slide in and out to make larger shelves and you can still use the doors because of the hinge top or bottom features. This makes the desk and shelf option more viable. Just slide the dividers in and out. They are held in place by top and bottom rabbited grooves
