Hi and thanks for the question! This skinny island is 24" wide and 64" (5'-4") long. 2'x6' is certainly an adequately sized island to fit two nice-sized base cabinets. Just be sure that you are not squeezing

and you could do 12" deep base cabinets if you wanted. If you have a wine chiller/ref. you'll need to have 24" deep base cabinets. The typical base depths would be 12", 15", 18", 21" and 24". Hope that helps.

Hello... I'm not the designer but to MY eye it looks to be approx 84"w (3+24+30+24+3) x 48" d, plus the granite countertop overhang of at least 2" all around. Again, not a precise measurement, but my best guess... perhaps the Designer
