The cabinets were constructed by our cabinet maker and then were custom painted by our painter with brush strokes for an "older" feel. The color is custom with no glazing.

Contemplating a free standing range hood over a cooker in an island bench...would love to add a utensil and pot hanger to it...would I strike problems with oil and grime having to pass the pots/utensils before entering the range hood?
