with a chair rail? I'm remodeling my kitchen and have 3x6 subway tile in staggered placement for the backsplash, then for the medallion, a mosaic tile four rows deep bordering harlequin tiles within the mosaic. Therefore, the medallion will be flush with the backsplash. My designer is pushing toward a chair
chair rail to add depth, but the chair rails only come in white or cream, whereas my backsplash tile is desert gray by rittonhouse . I found a slate chair rail that picks up colors of a mosaic that will go around the subway tile. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would love to know the name of the sink. It looks like a Rohl Fireclay sink that I have my eyes on.
match the faucet. We have a rubbed bronze one. Our counter top is black, white, and a little rust color. Back splash is glass with rust clear and grey. My question is do you think it would go?
My e-mail address has changed and I cannot find a place to change it.
Bullnose tile in Vancouver sells this sumi-e glass tile and ships through Canada. I just did my kitchen backsplash in it.
This looks like Sonoma Tile "Vahara": http://www.sonomatilemakers.com/LineList.aspx?prod-line-id=13&line-list-id=45&IsLineList=True I think the color is Karuna, but not sure if silk or iridescent finish...
Lots to like here - appliance and counter configuration is really close to my first idea, back splash is cool, cabinet style is nice

of a tile store designing my "rug". Although I am having a difficult time getting a tile layer to show when arranged ( this is savannah after all), I Do believe it will look fabulous once the floor has be laid. Removing the tile backsplash was a task until I got rid of my husband and brother and removed
10x10" tile. My 1920 kitchen was once three rooms; a butlers pantry by the formal dining room, the cooking room and the maids laundry. The rooms were divided during a remodel in '85. So now I have a "T" shaped room with the leg of the T cut in half and an island thrown in for good measure! My plans are

I am looking at putting in a dining room just like this and my dimensions are 14'4" long by 7'6" wide. I need to make sure that my space allows enough room for chairs to be placed at the ends. Any advice?
is there also a formal dinning room? I am debating doing something like this. But I only have a single dinning area (ie, no eat-in kitchen). And so my concern is that future buyers might find this too informal a space to serve as both a breakfast and dining room. How has it worked out in this home?

strange to ask but are there any pictures of this in use with 4 people sitting in the booth? I'm working with basically the same set of dimensions, except my depth is closer to 42'', so it would be even tighter and i'm wondering if it would be feasible for 4 adults (comfortably) to eat a meal. Thanks!
