What kind of wood did you use for the countertops? Looking to do this in our kitchen but I've heard that using Oak, Maple, etc is difficult
used to stain/finish the pole? I have a large pole in my kitchen and am looking for ideas on how to give it texture without adding bulk. Thank you.

Just any old white paint and aged with glaze.
Wacom's Butcher Block on it and I am forever repairing the water damage. It looks nice and the finish isn't that hard to fix but it is still a pain.

Love that look but budget restraints. Not fussy on black appliances. I see this kitchen has a white dishwasher with white toned cupboards. Looking for opinions
