No two stains will ever come out the same and yes you can do this on your basement floor. The up keep is big on this floor.
Curing, sanding, 3 stains, buffing, curing, acid etching and a polish layer. This is not a DIY and would be hard to duplicate. You will never get two concrete stain jobs to
to look the same. I worked with a great concrete stain artisan to achieve this look. We researched color tones for several months and did test samples. The curing process was a minimum of 26 days.
We typically have to grind /sand down a new floor so not sure how much your paint would have etched

intended to create with the stain is a dark walnut. Yuo need to mix your stain on sight, as different species of wood will take the stain differently. It is best to use the brand of stain that your floor contractor recommends and is comfortable with.
