I love the light fixture over the island, where is it from?
If you're still looking for a pendant like this one, we carry a similar pendant by Hudson Valley Lighting at our store and online. The Massena Pendant comes in 3 sizes and 4 finishes, including white. Visit the product page on our website for more info
this isn't what I want, but I like the mixture of textures and the lightness of it
Silver screen. Opting to leave the pressed metal ceiling unpainted (but sealed) maximises its impact in a room with plenty of natural light. The light bounces off this ceiling’s reflective surface and adds character galore.

Glazed subway tile from Waterworks. Architronics series ARF036 / 3x6 / color pumice glossy crackle. The liner is Sonoma Tile Makers / Tantrum Series / Blink liner / color: pewter.
With an 8' ceiling it is best to paint it a light color or one with a high light reflective value (LRV) to make the ceiling seem taller.
Would it be ok if I changed it to a light color with hints of grey... Since my ceilings are 8ft, the darker Colors may make
I think it is ok for the light fixture canopy to be the same size as the beam or smaller.
Is the ceiling medallion for this light the same size as the beam or larger? DO you think it would be okay to hang a fixture with the medallion

Can someone tell me how to make a light fixture like this? I'm on a tight budget and this looks simple to do
Where can I buy the grey metallic wall mounted light fixtures on left?
many reasonable 'pre-made' lights available to give you this look and a handyman could attach the pipe.
This lighting idea is really 'smart'. Being able to achieve island lighting without electrical boxes in the ceiling. I think this could be done with a number of lights. We had a similar idea for
pendant lights shown in the picture, those are similar to our Firefly Cord-Hung Ceiling Lights. It seem like a black cord, and the backplate is likely done in a Painted Aluminum to match the modern setting. You can see that light I described here: http://barnlightoriginals.com/ceiling-lights/vintage
