Ryan Lentz Hi Joel: We are considering doing White oak floors with a clear finish. I have seen many different shades of "clear". Many are quite a bit lighter than this and this picture is exactly
What kind of floor do you suggest to put into the kitchen? I was thinking of Brazilian walnut. Everyone is pushing me to do porcelain tile but I really love wooden floor in the kitchen. What are the pros and cons between the two and
what I would like. We have Cherry cabinets, so I cant go dark but also dont want a stark contrast. I love the warmth of this but dont want it to turn "Oak orange or yellow". Can you give me any insight into how you achieved this warm tone? Thanks, Ryan - Seattle, WA
This is simply white oak. We used a fairly high grade of wood...but really nothing special to get this tone.

Is the oak rift cut, quarter sewn, etc? I would like to try to duplicate the look but don't know what cut to ask for. Thanks.
Is the oak on the floor the same cut as the oak on the cupboards?
White Oak? What can I buy the floor? Thanks.
Thanks for you interest in our project. The floor is white oak with just an oil finish - no stain....
The floating shelves are white oak to match the floors and cabinets. They were custom made and installed by our in-house finish carpentry crews.
White Oak continues to grow in popularity. We just made these 10" White Oak floors in long lengths for a client in Birmingham. They use Cabots Bittersweet Stain and a Satin oil based poly to finish it. Let me know if you have any further questions. joel@eutree.com

Contemporary kitchen with dark oak cabinetry, slab granite counters, stone/metal mosaic backsplash. Frosted glass in upper cabinets help balance out the dark wood tones. Fabric valances bring in softness and help tie the kitchen in with the rest of the space.
What is the stain color on the floor?
I love the floor color - could you please tell me what brand and color of stain is on it? And is it white or red oak? Thank you!
color name, but it's a pretty dark espresso color. The cabinets are all out of oak.
The floor is a red oak and the stain color is Early American
similar style and stain, look at Merillat Masterpiece cabinets. The door style to look at is "epic" in oak and the finish is called Peppercorn. It is very similar to these.

what type of floor and stain did you use? thanks
Need to know how stain was applied to this re oak flooring and what color was used?
information. Please see our answer to other question- regarding this floor- hope it will help with color selection.
Just put down 6 inch wide clear white oak and put a custom ebony stain on them. After several coats of stain
stain they stopped getting darker and ended up a rich black walnut color with a matte finish. If you want really dark floors you will need to go with different type of wood.

Hi. I have white oak floors and I am looking for thus color as my end result. Can you tell me what stains were used to achieve this??? Thx!
is there a brand name or campany that i can find these wood floors?
Yes ! There are so many things to take into account. I just think that too much is made from European vs American White Oak. You can achieve very similar colors with using the same techniques. Almost all of the engineered hardwood floors are European White Oak but they are
wonderfully. The heated floors are an added bonus, we were there in the fall and snow was already falling but the house was warm and cozy without the hot air blowing like you have with forced air heat.
These Pedini cabinets are from the "Integra" collection. They are rift cut oak in the "Rovere Grey"
