I do not live in the Carolinas and I would like to know the name of the granite
hate this look but love the layout, kitchen with dining space off to the left and living room straight on
I like the openness and light of this room, not the specific design elements.

Can someone, please, tell me what that style of leg is called. The chrome leg on the room divider/shelving.
Your name says it all. Is this a show room or a home? I love it!
different...reversed could work as backdrop to tv room????
Shelving could be between kitchen and living room
kitchen / lv room - book shelves?
Love this design for back room
concept blurs the line between cooking and living areas.

In this very open space, the island ends in a fabulous display area that looks like furniture. This concept blurs the line between cooking and living areas.
Surprisingly, the three-legged number was not exactly a smashing success. Luckily it was given a second chance in the 1990s, and now super-chic architects and interior designers are snapping them up as fast as they can.

The room behind the dining room--is that a pantry?
state that's it's in. I got back here and quickly got on Houzz and saw your green floor. You mentioned you love it but I was wondering what it's like living with it in the kitchen? Do you have to be careful with spills and stuff or is it the opposite? If you respond and are curious I can attach a photo

There are 3 rooms off the kitchen/dining - the door in the far back of the dining room leads to the main stair hall. The door on the right goes to the same

Where did you get the dining room table?
formal areas draw strongly from French estate design but are very streamlined, and the informal areas pull just as much from French country style as they do French estate and contemporary aesthetics.
