This is the idealized image for me of what working from home "feels" like: a sunny spot at the family table where you are present with your loved ones but also able to produce work. (Idealized being the key word.)

What kind of wood is used for granite table
where can i purchase this kitchen table island??
do all their dining at the island? If I give up my dining area I will have a 20x13 space for a big island, but not sure if I will miss my separate table….
Although if I do this I will no longer have a dining area because I will use the dining area for this Long Island/table. Do you think that's a good move?
this layout, but I'm concerned for my home the island may get in the way from dining room to kitchen. Also, in this layout, is there a small kitchen table or do they use the island for all informal dining?
Like the contrast of white cabinet with wood floor. Love the granite they chose.
