A complete re-engineering of the 1st story (allowing 3 new bedrooms and a bath), the connection of 2nd floor public spaces, and the introduction of a new internal stair, maximize the potential of this otherwise modest house. Hi, What color floor stain did you use here and is it Douglas Fir?
Sorry to bother you again. Can you tell me the brand of the stain used on the Dug Fir? Thank you so much.
its was a light walnut stain base stain with multiple coats of clear satin on top. (flooring was douglas fir)
We did not specific stain, so I'm sorry I can't be of help. I know Minwax offers a nice walnut which if too dark can be custom mixed with other colors in the same line. Floor tinting is an art, especially if you are trying to match an adjacent color, best to experiment on scrap pcs before applying to

Are the floors red oak? What color are they stained?
How should the flooring material/color in a kitchen affect what countertop material/color to use?
I also love the floors and I'm looking for a little guidance. Is the stain color just a plain walnut or is there a specific name I can look for? How many coats were given? What type of poly was used
times start with matching the floors to the rest of the house to create a sense of space and flow..but that said, if you're refinishing all your floors or building new, you can do whatever you want. I try for contrast and consistency...Here you see the contrast of the dark floor and the light tops, but the
the butcher block color also is consistent with the flooring color. The important thing is to keep everything from being the same exact color and tone. That gets muddy.

What product and color name is the flooring? Love it!
This is re-engineered oak with a walnut stain
thought about trying to shop around to find a cabinetry that would match the same stain and just replace the doors. I found a cabinetry at Home Depot called Intermost (made by Elkay specifically for Home Depot) that has a stain called Champagne. It matched my existing doors perfectly, however, the size
doors. However, Intermost does sell the stain which I ordered, but it is quite expensive at $95.00 per quart. I found an independent cabinet maker that can order new doors to my size cabinets or can make the doors if need be and then the doors will be stained and finished with a top coat same as a factory
