I'm so intriqued... windows looking out to another interior? Were the windows repurposed, or built for the space. It looks very fun.
How does this vent above the cook top works? It looks like there is the 2nd floor above it?

could answer your question, but I am not sure as it was installed by the builder and his fabricators. Yes, there is a 2nd floor above, so it might vent out into the porch beyond the windows but I can't say for sure.

hi! are blinds hung thru the ceiling? What kind are they? love look!
Excuse my naivete but did you need to get a permit to add this window to home? -- is it similar to "bumping" out a room which I read can be very expensive.

I can see the "floating" corners sticking out, what supports those corners and keeps the shelf from falling down from the weight of pantry items?
