Can natural white oak floors go with dark cabinets?
I have the nexus black-brown Ikea cabinets. What do you think about having natural white oak floors with them?
What are the floors coated with to give them this clean, natural look?
What are the cabinet mad of? Is it natural oak or not
Reliance on the beauty of natural materials. It's not to say that modern kitchens can't have a little bit of ornamentation, but when they do, they get it from the natural characteristics in a material, such as the horizontal grain of oak when it's rift cut or the natural beauty and veining of marble
Unstained white oak with gray: Natural white oak and gray are natural partners. This combination works well in a modern space or in a vintage application where the gray is the wall color or painted cabinetry. Unstained white oak can have almost ashy tone which complements the grays when used together

I love your use of the steel Hope's windows...do you find it looks ok to use regular (wood, white) windows in other parts of house with the Hope's or do you use steel throughout? In same room even? Would love steel as accent only in part of a great room. Thanks!
Love the steel frame doors. Can I combine this with screen enclosure?
Hi. This is a great feature on steel framed doors and windows. Nothing beats the streamlined lines that evoke the grace of the bygone era
pays us a visit -- and we get an average of six episodes in a month for 4-5 months a year. We need to keep rain out too! What's the best way to have steels doors all around, alongside screen doors that we could open or close depending on what we need. The porch, by the way, has three columns on both sides

form the essence of industrial style. SMART STRATEGY: Open shelving is commonly used in industrial-style kitchens and white, glass and stainless steel are natural choices when it comes to the flatware and other items on display. Break the rules now and then with a splash of colour just because you can.

We will use natural cherry shaker cabinets with wood floors. What color/type of wood floor goes best with natural cherry cabinets? Love the kitchen!
I just ordered natural cherry glazed cabinets....
Mine are a natural cherry with just a clear finish (though I added a brown glaze)...the brown glaze makes them appear a bit deeper and richer than the picture above...but still fairly light and not at all orange or red.
How did you achieve this natural look on the Cherry cabinets
Thank you for your question. The floor is a rift-cut / quarter-sawn oak combination. In a natural finish. This is a common species in the historic Boston townhouses. It's new flooring in the kitchen area - but we were matching existing oak flooring
