I would have bookshelves built up the wall or in a corner. Also, build in a nightstand with concealed storage below or have a small desk become the nightstand. The closet should have built-in drawers in a stack from the floor up to about 48"
I had the table custom made which I copied from a design at Milling Road.

That looks like a mirror over the kitchen sink. Probably custom-made. I have two in my master bedroom (one over each nightstand, to mimic windows on either side of the bed...something I've always dreamed of)!
