tile is from Laird Plumleigh Studio. He is local to us in San Diego and we went to his studio and selected both the backsplash and fireplace tiles in person. The tiles are actually green. These are the backsplash tiles: http://www.lairdplumleigh.com/products_page.php?product_id=78&category_id=35
Instead of using a grout color that matches the tile, this grout is used to add visual interest - it makes the pattern pop.
