from what can be seen in this pic, to be at least 12'. 2' deep counter on the top of the pic 3' walkway, 2' for the island, another 3' walkway, and another 2' for the counter on the bottom of the pic. 3' walkway would be pretty narrow though. the house my husband and I are building will have 4' on each side

It is hard to see in the picture. Are the upper cabinets wood and is each door just plain glass?

Yes, the upper cabinets are wood with a metal trim around the panes of glass. The shelves are metal and the cabinets have no backs or sides to see the stone.

This kitchen makes me rethink my light placement: My kitchen layout is very similar. I've planned to center the recessed lights over the walkway, rather than over the edges of the countertops. I will only have 1 row of recessed lights. Will that be ok if they are centered over the walk space
