I cannot answer your question. There are many factors in making that decision. I would suggest that you hire a professional to consult with you on your project.
The space is 26' long x 13'-3" wide. The island is 36" x 92". If you browse the rest of the photos of this project "Redwood City Kitchen
plenty of room to seat five people around it even though it seems narrow. If you're using your island as a secondary workspace, you won't need that much depth. It's worth looking into. I wish you the best with your project!
Thank you so much for all your help!
That's pretty tight. This project was tight with a little more than a foot more. Your island would have to be less wide...not impossible. I would draw it out and see what it looks like,

What are you using as your backsplash under the glass cabinet? It looks similar to your countertop.

meeting the guy when he came in to measure while we were finishing up. They were a small, local company that did all their work custom, so I'm not sure you're going to be able to find the exact treatment anywhere. Sorry I can't be more help. Good luck!

As the Architect we were not involved in scoring the concrete floor. If you are planning a project with concrete as the finish floor, best to ask a concrete contractor about your unique situation
Hello, Thank you for your kind comments! The integral color of the scored concrete was completed back in 2000, and I do not have easy access to the offsite project archives. The color reads between a black and dark olive and looks wonderful
the color is similar to Orange Burst by Benjamin Moore but was from ICI Dulux ( no longer available) best to choose a color that is right for your own space and lighting conditions.

on the same page. If your designer has drawn up detailed plans, make sure the contract references the designer and the date on the plans so you have something to point to should the finish on your woodwork be different from what you requested.6. Duration of work. Though projects often take longer than
client and some outside the contractor's control — put the expected project duration in writing. The important thing is not that your contractor shows up every day, but that he finishes the project on time. Having a timeline will help calm your nerves if progress hits a slow spot.

who did your cabinets? or where did you get them? this room is perfection!!
Your work is perfection! Can you move to Warsaw, Poland?
I like every single one of your projects. If it were possible, I'd hire you in a heartbeat
but since I live in Warsaw I'll just have to try to copy you as best I can. The only problem I have is choosing which one of your designs I'd like to copy over another one of your designs.
What is the width of the cabinet rails and stiles? Your work is so beautiful!
I LOVE all of your work, wish I lived where you work!
Thanks for the compliment! We have no plans of moving any time soon but please contact us if there is any assistance we can be for your next project! (845)677-8256 :)

interested in your method for determining the placement of recessed cans. Also, why would one choose 4" over 6" ( and vice versa)? BTW: I really admire your work in general and this space is no exception! And you're very gracious to answer all the questions Houzz readers ask regarding your work -- with

Hello - Can you please share if the counters were honed for this project? Thanks :)
