The wood is knotty Western red cedar. I believe it is left natural here. If you did want to seal it there are some flat sealers that could be used that minimally change the appearance

Kaimana, Those look like an oak floor with a dark stain. Since that color is so dark you could get pretty close to it with either white or red oak. The red oak would be less expensive to use. If you have any flooring project questions please let me know firstname.lastname@example.org
