I like the way the racks fit neatly in the nook making the pots and pans look like they belong there.
; some people like the look of hanging pots and pans, and others prefer a clean, uncluttered look. If you don't cook often, I'd recommend storing your pots and pans in a pantry or closed cabinet, so they don't collect grease and dust.

How are you hanging pans from under the island.
I restored an old butcher block table from local grocer and would love to hang my pans (a few cast iron) from underneath. I'm not sure what to use that can take the weight without risking splitting the wood. Can you please

Bare bones & Pots & Pans, oh my!
Hung under the island. Not sure you want pots and pans hanging prominently, but don't necessarily want to store them away in a cabinet? Here's a nice hybrid option — hang your cookware underneath the island.

spices lose their flavor when subjected to heat and steam that cooking produces. They also lose flavor and get clumpy when you open them over steaming pans. It's better to store spices away from where you cook, or where it won't get so hot.

display. In a restaurant kitchen, pots, pans and dishes have to be close and easy to grab. Stock open shelving with simple, brasserie-style dishware (plain white or with a colored rim) and store cookware on a wall- or ceiling-mounted pot rack (bonus points if your pans are well-worn copper and steel).
This kitchen has it all: commercial style appliances, pots and pans exposed for easy access, stainless countertops. Not enough room for a pot rack shelf? The wall bar style ones are great—compact, stylish, and packing loads of storage space in those cupboards!
