the sloping ceiling without the door opening and wall openings. In your mind if you put a range and range hood where the door opening is on the back wall it would be very similar to the look we would have. Also, the wall on the right of the photo is very similar to our current wall.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. There are no vent hoods going up to the sloped ceiling. The cooktop has a downdraft ventilation system. The ductwork is also under the floor in the crawlspace.
