Where I can purchase the "sueded" steel counter tops please?Judith
"sueded" stainless steel finish that we used is that is show the aforementioned less than "traditional" stainless steel counters (it does, however, still show scratches and fingerprints...it's just the nature of the material). People often over-estimate the "stainless" aspects of stainless steel...it's not
No. They're stainless steel and no matter what finish you put on stainless you'll always have some "smudging" - they are, however, very easy to keep clean.
If you're worried about fingerprints and scratches than you might want to consider something besides stainless steel for your counters. While
They are custom stainless steel counters. We used a "sueded" finish on these which gives them a slight look of zinc.

who manufactured the stainless steel countertop?
You'll want to look for at least 18/10 stainless steel. Depending on where you are in the country it should be fairly easy to find a custom fabrication shop to make something like this. Stainless Steel counters would compare with higher-end Granite as it relates to cost.
The sink is integrated right into the stainless steel counter tops. The counters were made by a Chicago company called Steelskin (formally known as Soupcan). Thanks for your question!

What type of and size are the steel columns and beam? Thanks!
This is a structural steel moment frame. The size and thickness was determined by the Structural Engineer in order to support two different roof planes and to resist potential
More three-part (two columns, one beam) framing happens in this example, where a large opening between the kitchen and dining is formed from steel in line with the wall. Note how the detailing of the beam-column connections give an industrial appearance to an otherwise minimal interior.

Stainless steel is a counter option worth considering, as it's nonstaining, heat resistant and easy to clean. It is also more affordable than most stone counters.

That is the funny thing about stainless steel. It is extremely tough and durable and yet it is also easily scratched. So what you often see when looking at a stainless steel countertop or sink is a multitude in this amount of scratches which create their own
