how is the granite supported at the end table?
Can you describe how the table at end of island is supported? is there a platform the granite sits on. How is the single leg attached to the granite?
Hi.. There is post centered about 9" in from the end . The top of the post has 4 fingers heading in different directions to help with support.. Hope that helps
The partial backs on these stools may not seem to offer much support, but they make the stools look more substantial, which is a good call in this modern kitchen.

Metal support post - under island
Hi, I love this design! I am looking for a metal support post for a 26" square glass top that will be bar height next to my island. I was wondering where you got this
in or that flanks both sides of your range. You can have a 6" pony wall with the countertop extending beyond the pony wall about 14 - 16" without support. Beyond that you will need corbals or posts dependent upon the weight of your countertops. Cheers! m.
Like the slide up door on the small kitchen appliance centre in the corner. Allows it to be open without the doors getting in the way. Not sure if the appliances on the bottom can be used in situ?

this is not a support post, but a chase for electrical wiring. if you have a post it's either steel of a few pieces of 2x4 or 2x6 bunched together...? if you need to cladsuch
I have a supporting post in my kitchen. I like what you did with the steel poles. What material did you use to do this?
choice of countertops. A polished Cambrian black granite on the perimeter was paired with a brushed Metallicus granite on the island and the coffee center." She adds that "the stainless steel pole was not a whim of mine. I couldn't bring electricity through the floor, so we had to come through the ceiling
