Is that a counter-top microwave placed in a cubby under the island, or is it a built-in drawer? If regular type, is it inconvenient to access or work the controls?
easy to re-adapt a new microwave in the space when the first one died! Our regular microwave opens out to the side. This is a great location for wheelchair clients, too!

We don't have a record of the paint color, but it was definitely a Sherwin-Williams color. It may have been Accessible Beige, or another color on that stick so check those out and see if you find one that suits you. Happy New Year! Case Remodeling of Charlotte
Unfortunately we do not. This was the only room that we remodeled. Cross your fingers that they'll decide to do the master bathroom next! Thanks! Case Remodeling of Charlotte http://www.casecharlotte.com/

You cannot overhang 3cm granite more than 12 inches unsupported. You shouldn't be using 2cm thick granite on your counters unless it's in the bathroom or in certain west coast areas where it is standard. And it doesn't need to be supported all the way underneath. Plywood wouldn't be of any use. You

A custom diner-style Formica table embraces the kitchen's retro roots. Direct access to the outdoors embraces the family's active lifestyle and opens the room up to natural light. kitchen with a family room at the end of it. i was thinking of doing as this article suggests, buy 2 24" cabinets, side by side so the cabinets can be accessed from the kitchen and bar stools on the other side????? any ideas?

I think bathrooms are the easiest place to isolate your hardware/lighting finishes. Traditionally a nickel or chrome would have been used in the bathrooms even if brass was used in other areas of a home. We find it a pleasant aesthetic
I don't have access to those plans but I would guess they are approx 24" - 28" apart.
