my naivete but did you need to get a permit to add this window to home? -- is it similar to "bumping" out a room which I read can be very expensive.
I like the windows. Who is the manufacturer?
What is the height and width of the windows?
This style of shade is called a "Roman Shade", and it's mounted just at the top of the window opening - not up into the ceiling.
Maybe for under the windows in the kitchen..
I'd also do this in a deep bay window.
If you’re adding a bay window and want to make it a spot for eating, consider raising the windowsills so they’re right above table height, then build a dining counter directly into the bay.
7. Stop draughtsIf you suspect you may have a draughty old window or door, place a lit candle in front

Lovely space:) Can you kindly share the vendor for above sink lights and for sink itself?
side of my range, but hated to give up cabinet space. Love the narrow windows which offer best of both worlds. Question - was Blue Star your suggestion or homeowners' request. Considering that range & would love feedback. Thank you!
do you know the size of the windows on either side of the range, we were thinking about doing the same thing in our kitchen with 18 inch windows but I am not sure if they would be too small - thanks!

right there so you can easily put away those dishes. But why not use an adjacent storage cabinet or dish drawer? That way you can have glorious windows like these to capture the light.
