coast plantings, photos by Genevieve Schmidt
where can I purchase this plant
I have this plant except with a pink flower. I bought it in my local garden center in Carlow,Ireland
Try asking your local nursery to special-order it for you, or try looking at Dave's Garden - they have lists of plant vendors. Good luck
what plant is this? Love it!
long bloom season, consider planting in front of something taller, maybe something evergreen
gorgeous plant for the foreground of any drought-tolerant coastal perennial garden, and it has a long bloom season.
I like the gray with the red... what kind of plant is it?

native plant communities and restoring damaged site systems. Sensible land management practices guide the homeowner’s efforts to rehabilitate expansive areas of mown lawn. Spaces carved from the landscape overlook stunning panoramic regional views, while new plantings define edges and thresholds. Brilliant

garden plants. Which looks best to you?
Plan your fall garden. Before you plant anything new in your garden, make a list of plants you want to try (perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs and vegetables) and make sure you know the proper planting times for each one in your area. Use graph paper to plot

the big plant with brown on the bottom
The huge fan palms are called "Travler Palms". The two plants flanking the statue are called Queen Emma Lilies. Below the lilies are Snake Plants. I don't know if they would thrive in New
style plant like Jason's in Bali
what type of plant is that? I've never seen such vertical flat growth before.

Mass plantings to elevate common plants. Alternative to the mass of roses, massing can create a dramatic effect solely through the sheer number of plants being used. By planting an entire yard with a single species of common grass, the volume of the grass creates an impressive and attractive backdrop

what the plants are on the ground between the rocks with the blueish.green cast
does anyone happen to know what the plants are that she planted along the small rocks on the ground? They have a blueish/green cast to them. Is it an herb?
plant/flower recommendations for trellis over gate
climbing plant/flower would you recommend? Would wisteria work? I am partial to purples, pinks and whites. Thanks!
little plants near the paving stones (little pom poms of blue) is what I'm identifying. The larger plants are indeed lavender but the cultivar 'Hidcote' is quite small. I think the lavender might be a larger variety. There are so many types of lavender and I really need to see the flower closer up to
year, plant annual sweet peas and morning glories. They're basically sun plants, but are worth a try in spots that get afternoon sun. They're both very easy to grow from seed. (You can find out your garden zone by going to http://www.garden.org/zipzone/ and typing in your zip code.)
