I purchased these blue hydrangeas last year from a popular bulb co., they did not die, but they also didn't bloom. Is there a secret to 'exactly' where the location and the soil 'should' be ? Thanks, Deb

I believe its Aluminum that turns the flowers blue.

how do you get hydrangeas that beautiful blue color?
A fertilizer low in phosphorus and high in potassium is helpful in producing a good blue color(25/5/30 is good. Potassium is the last number). Superphosphates and bone meal should be avoided when trying to produce blue.
don't like dry soil. Mulch will help retain the moisture in the soil. One thing that you also have to know: If your soil is not acid, they won't be blue. Hope this will help you.
