I have a small atrium and it has really nice filtered skylight, and it is fully indoors... I love this idea!

Bird Baths and Other Water FeaturesWhen the mosquito threat abated, you may have relaxed about standing water, but freezing temperatures are a good reason to do another once-over. What to do: Any birdbath, bucket, kiddie pool or chiminea that collects water can be damaged when that water freezes, so

Great use of wooly thyme; also like the small water feature
sounds of a small brimming urn or fountain will make a brutal summer day feel more manageable. Well-designed and maintained koi ponds provide a welcome distraction and endless entertainment, and water gardens attract wildlife and make the outdoor space appear cooler. Pondless water features such as the one
ideal for small spaces and require less maintenance than full-scale ponds. Professionally installed water features are ideal where design and longevity are concerned, but budget-conscious homeowners can get their feet wet with a variety of products from precast fountains and brimming urns to plastic pond

.This small formal area in a larger garden echoes the formal side of the movement's designs, with ideas taken from knot gardens and parterres used in medieval gardens. Well-placed ornaments, such as this two-tiered bowl fountain that complements rather than overshadows the room, were favorite embellishments
Multi-tiered baths are the most visually appealing, thanks to their added height. Draw attention to a gorgeous birdbath by centering it within repeated circles of varying plants and rocks.

Love the design... just not sure if it is big enough for our future lake house and if it would be conducive to a sloped lot with a basement underneath...
Hi, what is that small stone structure on the lower grade, Storage?
the bath/laundry seems fine as it is -- lower ceiling would be ok here if the sleeping loft continued over this space. The kitchen could go in what was left in the space behind the green door - leaving the space behind the yellow door as a small study if that were desirable and or as I suggested previously
for a small cottage. We talked about making the work space behind the yellow doors the kitchen and conceiving of the study/darkroom space as a small bedroom --- I think it seems quite doable but would depend on the site -- and how you dealt with the at grade situation and how outdoor space was provided

assic Designs often work the best for a traditional style home set on a rural estate in Princeton NJ. For the dinning terrace a bluestone patio was installed with a brick inlayed rug. Plantings beds filled with perennials and flowering shrubs surround the patio and lead you down to the swimming pool
