are some DIY options. One is a frosted glass spray you can pick up at a box store. There are also glass etching acid creams that can be found at craft stores. They would probably take some practice tries to make sure you get the results you want. I haven't tried either, just sharing info.

I would really like to do a DIY of this project. I have a similar closet in my laundry room right now and am hoping I can just extend the plumbing and create a mudroom area where the washer and dryer are currently. Do you have any tips?

Frankly this was a complicated project that would
correctly as a DIY project. Tips 1) Make sure your washer dryer fits through the door 2) think about combustion exhaust - check codes 3) think about access to the rear of the units so you can hook them up 4) get a structural engineer and have them OK altering the joists below so a disaster pan that collects
