Also I said that it has a roughness or unevenness like slate without the shale edges, not, that it looks like slate as Benjiik has mentioned. It looks nothing like slate. I'd never seen anything like it before and loved the fact that each tile is a different colour of cream, beige, light greens, amazing
in altogether in one tile as slate may be. Interestingly I recently viewed Quartzite slabs in a warehouse for a kitchen counter as well which are also beautiful. Hope that clarifies futher for anyone interested in quartzite.
like Sandra said, that tile looks more like slate than quartzite, although
although I could be wrong. Something like this - http://tiledaily.com/2012/01/04/colors-of-fall-slate/ Yes on all points Sandra mentioned. They do have a great look, but shaling will occur with slate, and will take some time to completely settle. It does offer a great natural looking floor however.

Are the tiles all "Golden sand" or mixed colors?
I just went a totally different direction. I ended up with a 12 x 24 gray porcelain tile. It has some texture to it and every tile's not the same...paired it with white marble accents....
Hi there, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, all the tiles are Golden Sand. This is a good look at the variation in this color of stone. Regards, Christine Ramaekers, CKD MainStreet Design Build
18. If you're trying to join a mud room with a laundry room, it's always a good idea to invest in a sturdy floor material, like the slate tiles in this photo. Stone is hard wearing and durable, which is great for all of the dirty feet that will be crossing through this area.
