I'm looking for a very inexpensive solution to cover/protect the surface of my new washer and dryer. It's a front loader like pictured here and I would love to use the top as counter space. Any suggestion? I do have cabinets above so i just need some suggestions

Hi, I know someone asked, but i didn't see an answer as to the dimensions of the room. I am building a house and think I have a similar sized space, but I want to be sure this layout can work for me. Thanks!

Are the laundry racks a product that is sold in stores or it is a custom build?
I too like the drying racks. I'm sure my cabinet guy can build. But what are your thoughts if the dowel rods are wooden/painted, how do those hold up with damp clothes
These are 30"x30" but u can build custom sizes,as we have. The frame is 1"x2" with 5/8 dowels .We use heavy screw at the bottom and drill a hole one size bigger this lets the rack pivot on
to the left of the wash basin or sink- build it in to the wall.

There are so many great photos of counters over the front loading washer/dryers, but I have yet to find one that does not seem to be "staged". A dryer can not be placed flat against a wall because of the vent
above it slightly which is an eyesore itself. PLEASE help us find a picture of a counter that is functional AND pretty with instructions on how to build. Most we have seen are just laid on top for "looks"! Thanking you in advance!!! Lyne
to be raise it and support it for clearance per the manufacturers suggestion of an inch all around the machines. The counter is 3/4" thick and the front edge is 1/1/2" thick to match the adjacent laminate flatwork counter. Hope this helps!
