how do u access the water supply and remove the plug to pull dryer to clean vent pipe?

I want to do this, but would like to know where to position gas shut off as well as water valves so that there is good access. Also, is it possible to plug in the appliances and then push them into the tight space?
wall is 30" AFF to 60" AFF. This is the location of the access panel located in the side wall of the closet behind the laundry closet. So to access the water and gas connections, and most of the back side of the units one must unscrew the access panel inside the closet behind the laundry closet. We would
continue pursuing, but the dimensions and location of access panel are a good place to start when considering a laundry closet.

Sayra, I find the complete opposite. I have an upright washer right now in my new home and I will replace ASAP. It is like every other top loader - very damaging.
