How would you propose moving the washer and dryer if repair is needed?
Behind the camera's perspective is the entry foyer which leads to the home's formal living room. The window overlooks a stone courtyard with a sunken fire pit. What you see in the photo is the entire laundry room minus the third wall which features small art pieces

Does it seem like the placement here is a fire hazard? Materials used could spread a fire if there was a lint build up somewhere in the line. A we know, using dryer sheets consistently coat lint screens, causing a fire hazard. Use vinegar hot water to cut waxy build up, or better, don't use the products

I'd like to stay away from vertical W/D and get ones with flat tops and front knobs so we can sit them side-by-side and build in a laundry folding counter over the tops of them both. Add some storage up to the ceiling. Then I want to move the back door to where the window is
We've talked a lot about water, but remember there's fire in the room too. The most important safety concern in your laundry room is the dryer duct. lugging a full laundry basket — or three — down the stairs. Instead, let gravity do the work. A laundry chute doesn’t require much room, so if you’re building a new house or planning a renovation, it’s a design element worth considering. You’ll also want to consider where the clothes will fall to. Tatum

Laundry shute - DAH!!! I forgot something so simple could be so practical. How much attractive this is than a washer/dryer in your bathroom!
