I want to do this, but would like to know where to position gas shut off as well as water valves so that there is good access. Also, is it possible to plug in the appliances and then push
wall is 30" AFF to 60" AFF. This is the location of the access panel located in the side wall of the closet behind the laundry closet. So to access the water and gas connections, and most of the back side of the units one must unscrew the access panel inside the closet behind the laundry closet. We would

What a great question. To start, the gas shut off and water valves are behind the unit, accessible through the access panel in the adjoining closet... The electrical cords

There is an exhaust fan (not visible in this photo) that removes the shower steam, as all bathrooms should have. As long as the dryer is also properly ventilated then there is no reason they should cause each other any problems.

Under counter laundry in bathroom. Avonite counter with integral sink. Slate flooring and Maple cabinets. Photograph by David Wakely.
What is the width of the bathroom (vanity and tall cabinet)?
unevenness but nowhere close to something that would constitute a tripping hazard. I used this same tile in another bathroom and cut the 12 x 12's to 6 x 6 which looks nicer in a small bathroom and will reduce any offset due to the cleft finish even more. Thanks for the question -- Cathy
was this all custom cabinetry or could I find it. i have a really small cottage bathroom I would like to use your wonderful idea in.
Hi - When I designed this bathroom -- Avonite had two options for integral sinks -- and I preferred the depth of the square one KB1414 to the oval one. Here is the link to their current

Almost everyone will have a little back discomfort during their lifetime....How difficult could it be to have access to them without bending down to load, unload, transfer, etc.??
Is the washer on a slim pallet? If so, what is the reason for it? Is it for easier accessibility for servicing?
if possible, under the laundry room or bathroom sink. Then you can connect/disconnect hoses without pulling washer out. Also take less depth. For dryer, same comment as other, if you can vent drier to the left, most driers have that option and will help access and to reduce depth.
to keep the hose vent line up and not crushed or blocked with no room to work was difficult. Seems if you could vent on the side would be easier to access if needed. Having the nice counter with nothing dropping behind was wonderful. I'd do it again.
