room to be able to wash the dogs and water houseplants, as well as folding laundry in a small space was solved by providing a removable countertop. When the counter is needed, the two pieces easily slide in place and they are pulled out of the way when the water is needed. When the dogs get a shower

I want to do this, but would like to know where to position gas shut off as well as water valves so that there is good access. Also, is it possible to plug in the appliances and then push them into the tight space?

Where is the faucet for the washer hidden. I like to turn water off after using washer as leaving the water on all of the time can wear out the hoses and cause a leak

There are so many great photos of counters over the front loading washer/dryers, but I have yet to find one that does not seem to be "staged". A dryer can not be placed flat against a wall because of the vent hose and a washer almost always has the water knob behind or above it slightly which is an eyesore
counter is 3/4" thick and the front edge is 1/1/2" thick to match the adjacent laminate flatwork counter. Hope this helps!

joints instead of modern glued pvc. Later repair means opening walls. Water filters under sinks or whole house is a breeze now too. If you're all electric, like we are, you might look into a backup generator. We're fairly rural, and our water relies on an electric pump. I also freeze food from the garden
