slate, or porcelain? Honed, matte, or cleft finish? I have clients that wish to use quartzite on the floor but are concerned about tripping on the rough finish....

Hi- the flooring is slate - cleft finish. It does have a certain roughness and unevenness
unevenness but nowhere close to something that would constitute a tripping hazard. I used this same tile in another bathroom and cut the 12 x 12's to 6 x 6 which looks nicer in a small bathroom and will reduce any offset due to the cleft finish even more. Thanks for the question -- Cathy

The area in this photograph is roughly 8' square, plus another 4' for a 3' wide door with 6 inches on either side.
The cabinetry was custom built and is roughly 24" deep.
