I have this washer and dryer model and would like to recreate in the home we are building. Where is the main drain located for the washer? Do you know if it is difficult to install washer and dryer in this configuration? Thanks in advance!
Sorry I missed your question! The drain for the washer is on the wall behind it as well as the supply water. We did install shut-off valves in the cabinet above however so they could be easily shut-off when not in use (vacations
(nearly) everything in cold water. According to Energy Star, heating the water accounts for 90 percent of the energy used in washing machines. Cold water with detergent cleans as effectively as a warm wash, saves energy, and slows wear and tear on your clothes. Use hot water just when you really need to

We didn't use a drain pan. We did however, make sure our drain hose was securely held in place. Had it been on the second floor of our home we would not have used this cabinet for our pedestal. Note: we also did not use the platform shown in this picture. Not sure why they added that.
this idea, however what did you do about a drain pan?

Questions12
What height is the washing machine drain hose?
I want to do this but the Plumber thought the washer may not drain if the drain hose was too low.
The washer box shouldn't be higher than the washing machine. There's a pump that drains the washing machine regardless. Maybe you need to ask a different plumber

Love the floor. Note the drain in the floor in laundry room.
Like the tile floor, and including a floor drain is SO genius, speaking as one who's experienced several laundry room floods.

Questions10
Did you use a shower pan under the washer and dryer? If so is there a drain?
It's a pan designed for a washer, it has a hole and drain line attached that goes to the stack. Thanks for your question.

find one that does not seem to be "staged". A dryer can not be placed flat against a wall because of the vent hose and a washer almost always has the water knob behind or above it slightly which is an eyesore itself. PLEASE help us find a picture of a counter that is functional AND pretty with instructions
joints instead of modern glued pvc. Later repair means opening walls. Water filters under sinks or whole house is a breeze now too. If you're all electric, like we are, you might look into a backup generator. We're fairly rural, and our water relies on an electric pump. I also freeze food from the garden
Where are the water shut off valves? I dislike seeing them so would like to do this...thanks!
