Hi, could you share what mechanism/hardware is used for the TV cover?
klucine, you may want to consider TVCoverUps. Framed art(including your own) or mirror adds to the room's decor with the hidden TV & Entertainment Consoles beneath. See how EASY it really is: http://youtu.be/05bwMqaAS5Y

like the casters - who makes the tv stand?
otherwise, would it work to have built-in, tastefully hidden in-floor cables that you connect to when you want to watch TV? our views are spectacular but the only place for the tv is marring the view... this looks like the perfect solution!
The TV Stand is by Horm Italy and is fantastic!

flat-screen TV. It’s nice that the TV is unseen from the kitchen and dining area; it also keeps those sitting in the living room faced toward the middle of the space and involved in any activity.
Here are the three essential elements to float your TV away from the wall. 1. Hide the back of the TV with
Beautiful on all sides and plenty of room for components, cables, a power strip and cords. By keeping it no taller than is necessary it defines the TV and dining areas without dividing the room. Tip: Floor-mounted electrical outlets are your friend. If you are installing a new outlet, place it right

hidden beneath. The basic TV CoverUps Theater Installation Box is built to enclose any size flat screen TV and includes the picture frame lifting hardware. From there, each TV CoverUp unit is customized to suit the needs of any viewer, room or taste.
The TV CoverUp is a novel, simple and elegant way to conceal a flat screen television. With a TV CoverUp,a television screen is no longer a stark center of attention, detracting from a room's decor. Instead, framed art provides the focal point - until it deftly swings upward to reveal the television

Are there problems with overheating w/ the TV in a recessed area and suggestions to overcome this?
Is the TV mounted on a retractable device?
build an alcove to house the tv and make it tilt
Recessed tv over fireplace. Like the tilt. Down feature.
I would like my tv tilted to the optimal position.
tilting of the TV for glare
take the room focus off the tv
Like how it is embedded into the wall so you can angle the tv down.
tilt if tv had to be "higher"
If you decide to go with the recessed look above a mantle, keep in mind you must allow the proper depth to allow for tilting the TV downward so it's geared toward the proper eye level. Watching "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" with major glare in Camille or Lisa's face totally kills the effect
