I am looking to do my basement in t111 walls. Did you leave the surface of them raw? or sand it down? How well do they hold paint and/or stain? All the boards I find at homedepot are what I would call raw and I am wondering if it will flake
Kilz that's made for exterior use (go figure) and is garbage, personally and professionally I wouldn't waste my time or money on the waterbase stuff.
So, how did you finish the top board, while keeping the rustic look, such that you do not get splinters?
and most of it was already there (it was a renovation) so i would recommend you consider putting up some furring strips and then tongue and groove boards in lieu of the t111. if that doesnt fit your budget and t111 is in your future then ask for smooth kind and if that doesnt exist, sand it down some

I think I will do my den with the fire place on the side with a wall on the cathedral side with glass. Using logs or timber to accentuate the ceiling.

Is that bead board above the mantle?
Where did you get the sofa? It looks so cozy and who did the fireplace? What kind of stone was used? I have a huge fireplace in my undecorated family room. I have a living room, so we don't really use the one downstairs but.....if I could manage to have it look like this, then it
I did my living room same color and love it. However, I am having a super hard time finding fabric or a window treatment that matches. Can you tell me what

A very colorful, art driven living room in the Denver Tech Center. This is a project that I worked on with my previous employer where I was Design Lead & Project Manager/Designer.
