This fireplace was built by Nat King Stoneworks in Moultonborough. They are excellent masons and also did the wall and patio work in the project.

Good question; for this project the ceiling was installed before the 6" stone veneer was built-up to it. This was deemed much easier and cleaner than trying to scribe the ceiling to the stone.

The beautiful stone on the fireplace is Fond du lac | Cambrian Blend. The corbels are available to purchase from Casa Verde Design. The paint color is a Farrow and Ball paint color - Stoney Ground.

7'-6 wide overall, 18" tall hearth. Chimney has 2nd fireplace in the lounge space above overlooking the great room .. total chimney is 55 ft tall. Chokes down to 66" wide and then 48 wide as it goes up through roof.

Thanks, you are right. And I was told by a Mason that it was a special cut. We went with a dry stacked stone.

This stone fireplace is absolutely gorgeous, and the built in box shelf for logs fits right into the built-ins. From top to bottom it goes vase, sculpture, pitcher, logs. Brilliant!
